Job Description

A dynamic and forward-thinking company that has more than 20 years’ experience of trading in the UK investment markets is seeking an Internal Business Development Manager based in Gloucestershire to join its expanding team. In addition to a competitive basic salary, you will receive a sales reward bonus and 25 days holiday.

Throughout this evolution, it has grown in partnership with its clients and its professional advisors and now has more than £500 million of assets under administration and management.

As the Internal Business Development Manager, your duties will be to:   
  • Maintain and build relationships with new and existing IFA clients and assist the External BDMs with meetings, training and development
  • Provide technical support for all inbound intermediary enquiries
  • Keep IFAs up to date with our client’s products, literature, practices and procedures
  • Schedule meetings, new and existing, for the External BDMs
  • Implement sales and marketing campaigns as required
  • Maintain the CRM system and ensure all information is kept up to date
  • Maintain accurate records of activity on the CRM system
  • Provide a very high level of customer service
  • Consistently improve product and industry knowledge
  • Attend and support sales conferences and seminars as required
  • Improve and maintain internal processes.
 To be a successful Internal Business Development Manager you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Ideally experienced within the financial services sector or another similar industry
  • Experience of working in a business development role
  • Communicate and present clearly and concisely to individuals and groups
  • Have a strong and flexible work ethic
  • Be self-motivated and very tenacious with the ability to generate the actions necessary to reach agreed sales / KPI targets
  • Be computer literate and have a good knowledge of all Microsoft programmes as well as the ability to use database and CRM systems
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills
  • High-quality interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to study role specific materials and courses and to develop personally through internal and external training and exams.

In return, the Internal Business Development Manager will receive a salary of £25,000 per annum salary DOE + £25,000 on target bonus.
