Job Description

THE ROLE

A great opportunity for a CIVIL ENGINEER to do THIRD PARTY LIAISON and other duties for a respected firm based in GLASGOW.

You will work primarily on trunk road projects.

You will need excellent communication and client facing skills to communicate with landowners and their agents plus local authorities, utility suppliers and other stakeholders etc.

You will manage issues regarding landowners arising from the project.

You will maintain records of discussions and agreements.

You will liaise with engineering and environmental teams.

You will assist in the development of accommodation works designs and engineering details.

You will do procurement of surveys, consideration of buildability matters etc.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers workng on civil, structural, geotechncial, traffic & transportation and related services.

They have offices across the UK and are working with a good range of clients in the public and private sectors.

They offer excellent ongoing training and CPD and good training towards becoming chartered.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to be a Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent qualificaiton.

You will have at least ten years or more experience of working on roads and bridges.

You will have knowledge and experience of applying road design standards and specifications.

You will have knowledge and experience of Trunk Road promotion and procurement processes.

Good communication skills are essential to be able to deal with clients and the professional team.

Also experience of liaising with the client, road authorities and the public etc.

Salary in the range of £30000 to £45000 per annum plus pension and professional fees.
