THE ROLE

A great opportunity for a CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN for Roads, Drainage and Flood Risk projects etc. to join my client, a firm of consulting engineers in their Hertfordshire office.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and ambitious technician to join an established firm of consulting engineers.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers workng on civil and structural engineering projects.

They offer excellent ongoing training and CPD.

They have several UK and European offices.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to be a CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN with an HNC / HND / Degree or similar in Civil Engineering.

You will be offered great support towards becoming Chartered, Incorporated or Associate Member of the ICE or CIHT

You will need to have knowledge and experience of British construction methods and products.

You should have experience in the preparation of civil engineering layouts including general external works and levels, drainage and SUDS systems, surfacing specifications including use of NBS and sectional approval drawings for adopted drainage and highway works.

You will need experience of using Microdrainage (WinDes).

You will also need to have AutoCAD skills.

Some experience of 2D & 3D modelling software e.g. Civil 3D would be preferred.

Our client is working on a good variety of projects offering a varied workload and plenty of prospects for promotion for an ambitious candidate.

Salary is very negotiable according to your experience plus pension and other benefits.
