Job Description

This is an ideal opportunity for a Data Analyst who will be responsible for engaging analysts to understand data and reporting requirements to support business needs. This person will provide data support for end-user analytics and business intelligence, report definitions and designs, data validation testing, and data management. The ideal Data and Reporting Analyst for this position will have strong Business Intelligence and data Analyst skills coupled with SAS experience.

The Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for data analysis, business analytics, data standardization and management, data warehousing requirements, application data requirements, report design, development and testing of business requirements.

The rate on offer is £300 per day on a 3 month contract which is likely to be extended. You would be required to work Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm.

As a Data analyst you will:

• Conduct analysis of business and user needs for information, features, reports, and functions in order to develop requirements for data analytics and reporting for operating units and corporate functions, utilizing expertise in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Data Warehousing, to understand the organization's systems and capabilities to ensure the most efficient use of data assets.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, data analytics, business process descriptions and workflow analysis
• Assist in the creation of deliverables that are developed jointly with the user and technical development team, including output definition, logical design (business process and rules, data elements and flows, screens and reports), implementation plan, documentation, and training needs
• Counsel and advise users on data uses, definitions, assets' capabilities and information management processes
• Develop reports and analytical objects which meet business requirements of business organizations
• Collaborate with technical experts and business units to determine the best possible reporting mechanisms
• Produce ad hoc data analytics/reports
• Develop and manage project documentation deliverables
• Complete special projects and other functions, as required

To be considered for the role of Data analyst you will possess the following attributes and abilities:

• SAS experience including
• Excellent communication skills, to include fluent English both written and verbal.
• Numerate, analytical with excellent IT systems orientation.
• Strong ability with Word and Excel
• Extremely professional, well-presented and motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible and dedicated with the desire to succeed at all costs
• Clean credit history

You will also be required to complete a Criminal Records Bureau and Equifax Credit check for this project.
