The Organisation

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and part of the senior leadership team the Financial Director will contribute fully to the development and execution of FWM growth strategy across all areas of the business challenging assumptions, decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guide all activities, plans, targets and business drivers. Responsibilities will include:
  • Execution of FWM finance strategy and optimisation of the company’s financial performance
  • Maintain a strong company financial positon and development of robust commercial and financial processes
  • Provide modelling, forecasting and reporting of strategic plans to the Directors and the Board
  • Provision of accurate on-time financial, KPI and management information reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and present financial reporting to the Board
  • Lead relationship manager for financial matters including bank and lending organisations, auditors HMRC, Companies House, Accountants, legal team, other funders etc.
  • Explore and leverage alternative funding channels
  • Management and development of Finance department and management information/ERP systems
  • Ensure all due diligence, corporate finance and legal activities are up to date
  • Control CAPEX budgets and manage leases and contracts for premises, equipment and services
  • Contribute fully to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business
  • Develop financial awareness and business acumen across the organisation
Candidate profile
  • Qualified Accountant holding an ACCA, CIMA, ACA accreditation or QBE
  • Experience of successfully leading, developing and managing a Finance department within an ambitious high growth organisation
  • Gravitas to operate, challenge assumptions and communicate complex financial data at Board level and within an open and honest senior leadership team
  • Proven strong financial control, process development and modelling skills
  • Experienced in developing and implementing strategic management information/ERP systems and processes
  • Independently minded, able to challenge status-quo across the business to ensure decisions are based on sound logic and financially viable
  • Ability to forge long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fully up to speed with relevant taxation, financial and company legislation
  • Possess excellent communication skills, written, oral, presentation and electronic
