LOCATION: Preston, Lancashire 

JOB TITLE: Front Of House & Hospitality Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: circa £25,000 plus 4 weeks annual holiday excluding bank holidays and pension

WORKING HOURS: Full Time – 36 hours per week (start times can be between 08:00am & 09:00am - weekend working is an essential part of this role)

THE COMPANY / ROLE: Are you looking to work in a fast paced, hands on, customer and volunteer focusses role? Our client is looking to recruit an experienced and organised Front Of House & Hospitality Manager to lead their existing team of predominantly Volunteer Front of House, and Museum staff. 

As a Front Of House & Hospitality Manager you will use your experience and skills to confidently motivate, support, and inspire others to high standards. You will oversee the general day to day running of the Front of House, Café and Museum and duties will include planning of staff rotas, providing training, delegating and ensure duties are carried out as well as a wide range of other tasks including Administration and updating of records.

THE CANDIDATE: Joining a small team, we expect you to be self-motivated and be able to motivate and lead staff and volunteer's. You will need to be able to demonstrate the core abilities our client is looking for to deliver a successful, welcoming and sustainable business model for our their visitors. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a similar Managing role and will have the motivation to contribute and be actively involved in our clients Audience Development groups and assist in shaping the future of RSR. 

Experience managing a team of staff is essential for the Front Of House & Hospitality Managers role and you must have excellent organisational and a planning skills and be someone who is an excellent communicator and can engaging with all our client's volunteers. Previous experience in a Retail, Hospitality or Catering sector would be ideal for this role and candidates must have a valid UK Driving Licence. 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Front Of House & Hospitality Managers role in Preston, Lancashire :-

- Must have excellent communication skills both written and spoken
- Previous experience in a similar role essential, ideally from Hospitality, Museum, Retail or Catering sectors
- Good organisation and coordination skills essential
- Must be able to motivate and lead a team of staff
- Weekend working is an essential part of this role
- Must have a valid UK Driving Licence and be able to commute to Preston, Lancashire
