Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Human Resources (Technology) to join a market leading digital company expanding at a rapid pace.  A well-established fashion retailer, employing over 4000 people globally, they are setting the pace in a worldwide fashion revolution.  Shipping products to customers in the USA, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Russia and China, the business has a vibrant, dynamic and informal culture and a great working environment.  You will be working as part of a talented HR team who thrive in working with creative, commercial and challenging client groups. 

As Head of Human Resources (Technology Function) you will be responsible for: -
  • Leading a small team of HR Business Partners to support the CIO and Technology Function (c500 headcount);
  • Leading, driving and developing your client group to identify people strategies and objectives that will deliver results in line with business strategy, making sure that structures are in place to support longer term plans;
  • Developing a detailed knowledge of the client area’s specific activities and functional areas. Lead and support people activities across the employee lifecycle, collaborating with Talent, Reward, OD/L&D and Comms to design relevant initiatives that meet client needs and deliver in line with the HR roadmap;
  • Developing strong and trusted partnerships with Execs, leaders and senior managers providing objective and independent challenge, coaching and advice;
  • Accountable for all ER issues within the client group, including providing direct support to senior leaders on issues;
  • Leading the people elements of any change project and working with the appropriate specialist partners to develop and deliver an annual resourcing plan;
  • Taking an active role in recruitment and driving talent management and development and overseeing and providing direction for all annual people processes including but not limited to performance management, talent management, salary and bonus reviews.
 Successful candidates must possess the following skills and experience: -
  • Extensive senior strategic and operational HR and ER experience supporting a diverse client group up to Executive level;
  • CIPD qualified or similar;
  • Demonstrable experience as a HR business partner in Technology environment working with senior leaders within Technology;
  • Understanding of various disciplines in the Technology function and experience in developing and supporting competence groups for each discipline across Technology;
  • Depth of knowledge and experience in core areas of ER, talent management, change, people development and engagement;
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills;
  • A collaborative, pacey and can-do style.
