Job Description

Following a recent acquisition, a Fintech disrupter is now looking for an innovative, hands-on and ambitious Head of Talent based in London with a passion for delivery, able to build high quality technology teams within short time frames as well as overseeing all people operations for a lean, 50 FTE, for a 1 year fixed term contract with potential of joining permanent thereafter.

With an open requisition list of c.40 hires across product, engineering, UX and marketing at various seniority levels, you will first identify and roll out a new ATS system fit to scale and hire a small team to support your growth, build an attractive employer brand within the market and help to onboard all your hires with a consistently high level of candidate experience throughout.

As the Head of Talent your duties will include:
  • End to end ownership of talent acquisition process and the candidate experience, ensuring this is clearly aligned to culture and business goals; and that hiring outcomes support growth plans but most importantly values.
  • Building and evolving employer brand - from the website to social media channels as well as embedding yourself and the business profile in specific communities.
  • Growing and evolving the pipeline by building relationships with institutes of higher education, leveraging internal resources and networks, positioning the businesses opportunities and unique culture in the right places and maintaining a strategy and approach for proactive, non-agency hiring.
  • Owning the onboarding process, both pre-hire and initial post hire experience - liaising with Managers for best in class new starter experience covering communication, introductions, tools, and initial development planning.
  • Working with the exec team to ensure hiring supports the succession planning and diversity goals as well as the organisation design and growth plans.
  • Training and coaching hiring Managers on best practice interview skills, behaviour and performance based assessment and acting as custodian of the hiring process and its outcomes.
To be a successful Head of Talent you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of managing the talent acquisition process end to end - robust and proactive sourcing of relevant candidates all the way through to onboarding.
  • Experience in a fast growth environment with responsibility for hiring tech/engineering teams.
  • Experience using recruitment technology and systems.
  • grasp of changes and developments in employee regulations.
In return, you will receive a salary of £80,000 per annum plus benefits.
