HOMESTAY & PROGRAMME ORGANISER for courses for European teachers and school groups in WORCESTER

International Study Programmes, established in 1982, arranges courses for European students and teachers in 15 UK locations and has been arranging courses in Worcester for many years. 

Courses are normally 1 or 2 weeks in duration and take place in July and at other dates throughout the year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Local Organiser in Worcester (freelance) to arrange host family accommodation, co-ordinate programmes (drafted by head office) and supervise groups when they are in Worcester.

Local Organisers work from home in cooperation with head office, preparing for courses, booking classrooms and coaches, arranging local lecturers and school visits, recruiting and visiting host families (for which a car would be required).  There are no fixed hours.

During each course Local Organisers are required to liaise with teachers and leaders, conduct briefing sessions, introduce speakers and occasionally accompany groups on excursions.

Payment is made per course.

There may also occasionally be groups from Italian or French schools requiring 2 or 3 weeks work experience in Worcester. 

This position would appeal to someone who enjoys meeting people and possesses good organisational skills.  It could also appeal to a recently retired person.  Applicants must be resident in or near Worcester.
