HR Assistant

The Role:

Owing to the rapid growth of the business there is a need to build the internal structures. At Naissance our people are our greatest assets so it is important to build a culture whereby they get looked after properly. The Human Resources Team are central to this and are responsible for ensuring that a progressive, sustainable and healthy working environment for all staff is maintained.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as part of the Human Resources Team in the UK who has the ability to assist with the effective management of every employee. The right candidate will identify the right questions to ask in order to facilitate and support the growth and assist in the implementation of the company’s people plan.

Location:        The Naissance Trading and Innovation Company Head Office, Neath, South Wales
Salary:            Will exceed the National Living Wage
Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing extensive support to the HR Team.
  • General administrational housekeeping to include, filing, composition of letters, calculating leave entitlements, maintaining sickness records and keeping the computerised HR system updated.
  • Assisting with the implementation of the Company’s People Plan.
  • Assisting with the production of job advertisements, posting on a variety of online portals and sifting incoming applications.
  • Setting up interviews and assisting in conducting interviews.
  • Preparation of new starters information including, offer letters, employment contracts, induction packs and induction schedules.
  • Conducting staff inductions.
  • When necessary assisting with payroll.
  • Producing monthly HR reports.
  • Note taking.
  • Return to work interviews.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new HR processes and procedures.
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Dealing with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Assisting with performance management.
  • Appraisals.
  • Employee benefits.
  • Deliver efficient and effective HR support to the Senior Managers.
  • Assistance with probation reviews.

The role will also have a significant element of ad-hoc tasks.


Whilst a basic understanding of people management and human resources would be advantageous in the role what is of greater importance is the enthusiasm and passion to learn with a firm interest in building a career within Human Resources.  Advanced administration and computer literacy.
