LOCATION: Manchester Area
JOB TITLE: HR Support / Human Resources Support 
SALARY & BENEFITS: circa £24,000 dependent on experience plus great benefits including company car and fuel allowance
WORKING HOURS: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday – will require level of flexibility and travel 

THE COMPANY: Our client provide safe and secure transportation and custody suite services for prisoners and young people in custody across England and Wales, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and the Youth Custody Service (YCS) and now seek an experienced HR Support / Human Resources Support to work with and support the North Region HR Manager on a range of tasks. 

THE ROLE: As a HR Support / Human Resources Support you will work in partnership with the HR Manager for the assigned region and will assist and support the Manager on a wide range of tasks. You will work to strict deadlines to accurately process high volumes of confidential data and will complete start to end ER Case Management, including, conducting Employee Relation update calls with the Area Business Managers, complete letters as well as tracking progress and exporting reports. 

This role will also require you to complete the start to end recruitment process including advertising the vacancy, internally and on the company website, collate the applications, arrange assessment day & interviews, collate the documentation on the day, advise all candidates of the outcome, pass information over to the training department, advise the Admin and Vetting team of the contracts, then be on hand on the first day of the Internal Training Course to provide the on-boarding welcome with the HR Ops Manager.

This role will also require a high level of general administrative duties such as collating information for internal and external reports, handle any customer or external enquiries, ensure that accurate records are kept in line with Data Protection and undertake any ad hoc projects as directed.

THE CANDIDATE: As a HR Support / Human Resources Support you must be a highly organised person with excellent planning skills that can work to tight deadlines in a reactive environment. You should have exceptional work management and prioritizing skills, have a problem solving 'can do' attitude as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must have experience in a similar busy HR advisor role and must have excellent accuracy skills and good attention to detail and will ideally have up to date knowledge of HR best practice and a relevant HR qualification. It is essential candidates have strong proven customer service skills, multi-tasking experience in a fast paced environment, Good IT Skills and the ability to think ahead, plan work and meet deadlines. Candidates will need to live within commutable distance to Leicester but must also have a Driving Licence and be able to take a flexible approach to this role as will require travel for which candidates are reimbursed. 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the HR Support / Human Resources Support role :-

The ability to work well under pressure and to tight time deadlines, as well as a flexible team player who can support the wider Service Centre as and when required
Previous similar admin experience, strong IT skills, including good knowledge of Excel
Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
Ability to communicate effectively and think ahead, plan work and meet deadlines
Accuracy and attention to detail
Proven multi-tasking experience in a fast paced environment
Flexible approach to duties and working patterns 
Will need to be able to travel between locations in the North and occasional overnight stays
