LOCATION: Crawley, West Sussex
JOB TITLE: Personal Assistant / P.A
SALARY & BENEFITS: £28,400 - £32,139.00 per annum plus benefits including generous pension (including continued contributions to the NHS scheme) and 27 day annual leave plus Statutory Bank Holidays
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday (core hours 08:30am to 5pm – flexible hours considered for the right candidate) – Will require attendance at occasional out of hours board meetings for which time in lieu given

THE COMPANY: Our client are a local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Providing expert hospice care, our client is there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when life comes full circle. They now currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant / P.A to to support the Chief Executive and Board Trustee's and will be based in Crawley, West Sussex located just a 10 minute walk from Crawley railway station.

THE ROLE: As a Personal Assistant / P.A your responsibilities will be to provide a high quality and wide-ranging secretarial and organisational support service for our client's Chief Executive & (Senior Management Team) as well as the Board of Trustees, this will also include the administration and arranging of key meetings and events where clear minute taking will be required. It is an exciting role in a reactive environment where you will need to plan, organise, update data/records, and assist on a wide range of secretarial duties.

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday where core hours are 08. [You must Apply on line] .00 hours, however, flexibility is required to attend some out of hours board meetings for which time in lieu will be offered.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Personal Assistant / P.A's role must have proven previous experience in a Personal Assistant, PA or Senior Secretarial type role and must have experience in setting up administrative systems, managing diaries/databases and organising / arranging meetings. You must have excellent organisational, planning & advanced IT skills and must have experience in minute taking. Candidates should be excellent communicators who can work effectively with a range of individuals, departments and other organisations and should be someone who is able to take a flexible approach in what can sometimes be a fast paced and reactive environment.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Personal Assistant / P.A's role in Crawley, West Sussex :-
  • Previous experience in a Personal Assistant, PA or Senior Secretarial type role to Board and Executive level leaders
  • Must have excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent IT Skills / Knowledge is essential
  • Competent database administration/management and Diary Management
  • Confident problem solver, who is flexible with an ability to work well under pressure
  • Must live in or be able to commute to Crawley, West Sussex.
