Job Description

THE ROLE

I am seeking a PRINCIPAL EIA CONSULTANT / EIA Coordinator to join my client, a firm of multi disciplinary consulting engineers in the City of London.

You will work on a good range of development projects mainly for railways, highways, ports, airports, power stations, power plants, power transmission lines and oil & gas projects.

You will have a track record of deliverying large EIAs as well as successful business development.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers and property specialists working on projects across a number of different sectors.

They are a large firm with offices across the U.K. and abroad.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have a Degree in Environmental Engineering and ideally be MSc qualified and ideally be Chartered i.e. CEnv.

Experience of the following is required:-

To manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary environmental inputs to a wide range of development projects.

Manage and coordinate preparation of EIA screening and scoping activities.

Work closely with people in other offices.

Work with design teams to ensure that environmental considerations appropriately taken into account.

You must have excellent report writing skills.

You will have a track record of deliverying large EIAs as well as some experience of business development.

You will be a team player with excellent communication and client facing skills.

You must have an up to date understanding of the relevant UK environmental legislation and planning processes as well as a broad understanding of the requirements across al the major EIA disciplines.

You will have experience of stakeholder engagement and consultation with statutory bodies etc.

Experience of screening, scoping and specifying technical impact assessment work etc.

Experience of some project management including experience of programming and budget and financial management.

A full and clean UK / EEC driving licence is required.

Salary is highly negotiable according to experience plus pension, car allowance, health insurance and many other benefits including flexible working
