LOCATION: Wakefield, West Yorkshire 
JOB TITLE: Regional Finance Officer / Manager 
SALARY & BENEFITS: Starting salary £39,699.48 plus benefits including company car, final salary and generous pension

Our client have 1 aim, to improve the pay and conditions of GMB members in their workplaces and are now currently looking for an experienced Finance Officer & Manager to join their existing team.

THE ROLE: As a Regional Finance Officer & Manager you will oversee and manage the day to day running of the region's finances and Membership Department based out of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This is a senior / managerial role where other duties will include preparing and submitting monthly management accounts and overseeing branches quarterly reports for audit as well as leading/managing a team of finance staff and administrators and in ensuring deadlines are met. You will also be responsible for overseeing the compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). 

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Regional Finance Officer & Managers role must be proficient in in accounting and GDPR practices and and have experience in a Senior / Managerial Finance role as will be overseeing/forecasting budgets as well as leading and managing a team of staff. You must be a highly organised individual who can communicate with a range of departments and colleagues and take a flexible approach to tasks and prioritise to ensure strict deadlines are met. Candidates with qualifications are welcome to apply but hands and managerial on experience in a similar role are essential for the candidate to succeed in this post. Candidates must have a valid UK Driving Licence and must live within commutable distance to Wakefield, West Yorkshire. 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Regional Finance Officer & Managers role in _ :-

- Experience in a Senior / Managerial Finance role overseeing/forecasting budgets & audit reports essential
- Must be proficient in in accounting and GDPR practices
- Must have managerial or supervisory experience in a similar role
- Valid UK Driving Licence is essential and candidates must live within commutable distance to Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
