JOB TITLE: Regional Human Resources Admin / HR Administrator
SALARY & BENEFITS: £18,500 per annum plus benefits
WORKING HOURS: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
THE COMPANY: Our clientprovide safe and secure transportation and custody suite services for prisoners and young people in custody across England and Wales, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and the Youth Custody Service (YCS) and now seek a well organised Regional Human Resources / HR Administrator who can work well under pressure and meet deadlines to join their Service Centre based in Leicester, Leicestershire.
THE ROLE: As a Regional Human Resources / HR Administrator you will be responsible for all HR administration for your own assigned region, being managed by the HR Service Centre & Policy Manager. You will also take instruction and direction from the HR Operations Manager and HR Support under the authorisation of the HR Service Centre & Policy Manager and will provide Administrative support in a range of areas, and you will spend at least 1 day a week with the Regional HR Support.
Duties will be wide and varied in a reactive fast paced environment and will entail resolving customer and external agency enquiries as well as managing the vetting and HR Inbox, advertise job vacancies internally and via other methods, arrange interviews/assessment days and have direct contact with candidates and employees in your region. The role will also require a large part of admin and data entry, running and providing weekly updates to the HR Service Centre and Policy Manager, management of vetting packs, ordering of MOJ badges and all internal applications for your area as well as a range of other ad hoc duties.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Regional Human Resources / HR Administrator's role must be a highly organised person who has the ability to work well under pressure and to tight time deadlines, and has at least 2 years experience in a fast paced reactive environment. You must be accurate with a good eye for attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise and take ownership of a task and see it through to completion. Candidates will need to be IT literate and have experience using Microsoft Word & Excel and must be able to provide excellent customer service as well as being able to work well as part of a team. Candidates must live in commutable distance to Leicester and a willingness to occasional travel and stay away for the role would be beneficial.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Regional Human Resources / HR Administrator's role :-
- Highly organised person who has the ability to work well under pressure and to tight time deadlines essential
- Previous similar admin experience, strong IT skills, including good knowledge of Excel
- Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
- Ability to communicate effectively and think ahead, plan work and meet deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven multi-tasking experience in a fast paced environment
- Ability to deliver high levels of customer service essential
- Must live in or be able to commute to Leicester, Leicestershire
