Job Description

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Regional IT Support Technician for our Engineering client, based in Highland region. This is a permanent position with salary negotiable depending on experience. Internal Helpdesk function reporting to the Group IT Manager. This role is expected to start early January 2018 on a fixed term basis with a potential of becoming permanent

Responsibilities:-

* To maintain and deploy IT assets and managing inventories
* 1st level hardware support (small repairs, reinstallation of software) telephony systems etc
* Co-ordinate activity with internal staff and external Contractors on sites
* Support and maintain all local servers, switches and network infrastructure

Skills and Experience required:-

* Degree in an Information Technology/Computer Science or similar

Experience in the following technical areas:

* OS: MS Windows Server 2008 and later, MS Windows 7 and later, Network: LAN (TCP/IP), WAN, DNS, DHCP; Email: MS Exchange Online and Outlook ; Office Tools: MS Office 2007 and later (Office 365 environment), Visio, Adobe; Acrobat, Nuance PDF Converter 5 and later; System tools: Antivirus, Backup, Antispyware, FTP; Project tools: Microsoft Project; Good knowledge of Local Area Network (Switches, Hubs, Routers); Knowledge of Apple Smartphones (iPhones, iOS) and MDM (Mobile Devices ;Management); Directory: Active Directory, LDAP ; Preparation/protection PC tools: Ghost/Acronis ; Collaboration Tools: Skype, WebEx, Intercall, Cisco Jabber
