Sales Administrator


Location:  Manchester

Permanent, full time

Hours of work;

8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday

8.30am – 3pm Friday

Salary; competitive

Benefits; monthly incentive scheme, pension, 25 days annual leave, free parking


My client is the world leader in the design and manufacture of material handling equipment for lift trucks. The UK site is based in Openshaw, Manchester and is responsible for manufacturing and supplying Europe with forks for lift trucks.


They are currently recruiting a Sales Administrator to join the internal sales team. They are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and administration skills. In return we can offer an open business culture, a great working environment, training and competitive package.


The purpose of the job is to be responsible for managing the order entry and freight of our OEM customers whilst also working alongside the internal sales team with inter-company and customer enquiries including pricing and quotations.


Responsibilities will include


  • Input OEM sales orders
  • Organise freight via online portals for OEM orders
  • Organise intercompany freight
  • Processing and management of Sales Returns
  • Answering customer enquiries on the phone and via email
  • Sending customer quotations
  • Assisting with sales input and customer enquiries from the Aftermarket.
  • Answering the door and welcoming site visitors
  • Other ad hoc administration duties


Essential Skills & Experience


Good computer skills

Excellent customer service experience

A proven track record of strong administration skills

Experience of using an MRP system is desirable

Experience of working in a manufacturing industry also desirable
