Job Description

A company of Chartered Independent Financial Advisers that offers professional, detailed, holistic advice to a wide range of clients and specialise in wealth management services for high net worth individuals and corporate services to company directors and their staff is seeking a Senior Administrator / Paraplanner based in Colchester, Essex to join its expanding team. The Administrator / Paraplanner will receive many benefits after probationary period including £50k death in service cover / Pension scheme option over and above auto-enrolment. If an employee contributes 3% the company will match with 3%. After 4 years of service, if 4% is contributed then the company will pay 4%. Same for year 5. 22 days holidays + bank holidays / CII exams encouraged – 3 days paid study leave per module, reimbursement of 1 day holiday (exam day) and cost of the basic reading manual + exam fee if successful.

As the Senior Administrator / Paraplanner, your duties will be to:

• Assist in ensuring that all client files and company records are compliant in line with FCA regulations, this includes file reviews- submitting a percentage of adviser and appointed representative post sale files to our 3rd party checking company, monitoring the return, ensuring all action points are dealt with accordingly and all advisers are kept informed of developments through the adviser meetings.
• Keep abreast of and adhere to the rules within the compliance manual, through internal tests, office meetings and reading.
• Continually conduct oneself within the 6 core principles of the FCA’s TCF and CII’s Code of Ethics.
• Keep up to date with legislation, taxation and trusts, regulation, technical, product and provider changes.
• Compile recommendation / suitability letters, building from basic templates from our 3rd party compliance assistance company together with provider information, company policy requirements, client soft facts and specific adviser instructions.
• Research portfolios and funds, keeping abreast of market movements, trends etc.
• Assist team members with technical support.

To be a successful Senior Administrator / Paraplanner you will have the following skills and experience:

• GCSE (or equivalent) English & Maths, along with at least 5 other subjects– Grade B or above.
• CII level 4 diploma in financial advice.
• Experience of suitability letter writing.
• Previous paraplanning / extracting information skills etc.

In return, the Senior Administrator / Paraplanner will receive a salary of up to £36,000 per annum depending on experience.
