Senior Sous Chef St Ives Cornwall upto 31K Package Plus Live In

A Senior Sous Chef is required for this superb Coastal Restaurant serving amazing local produce including lots of fish and shellfish.

This is a great employer and one of our oldest clients; we have worked for them for the last 16 years and watched them grow from a single property to a happy group of 3. One of our candidates worked for them for 7 ½ years and another for 6 so they do have a proven track record of looking after their staff.

The Head Chef is looking for a talented Sous Chef who loves cooking with fresh ingredients who gets excited by the standard of the local produce and who gets great satisfaction from seeing happy customers

Standards are high, operating at 2 rosette level with no wish to go down the Michelin route, with the ingredients doing the talking

This would suit a strong Sous Chef or possibly a good Head Chef looking to join a good team, the Head Chef is looking for somebody who understands the importance of consistent attention to detail and who can keep a calm head under pressure and have the ability to encourage the team to focus on getting every detail of the dishes cooked correctly.

As Senior Sous Chef you will be working alongside the Head Chef on a daily basis assuming responsibility on his days off, ensuring the high standards are maintained. He is looking for somebody to bounce ideas off and who will take an active role in the on-going menu development.

Live in is available if required, but this position would also suit somebody living in St Ives Hayle or Penzance area, with their own transport if required.

Starting Salary of upto £28,000 (depending upon experience)
Share of generous tips normally a further £2,000 - £3,000 per year
