JOB TITLE:  Senior Video Editor

 

LOCATION:  Edinburgh, Lothian

 

SALARY & BENEFITS: circa £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

 

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30 some flexibility required

THE ROLE: We are currently recruiting for a Senior Video Editor to join the team in Edinburgh to help develop and drive the video strategy for the business.

 

Heading up a new central video team, you'll deliver rapid, highly shareable, trending video content to sites across our group and be part of a growing team as our audience expands.

 

You will be a hands-on manager with the ability to get the most out of your team and to get stuck in where required.  You will be a problem solver who brings energy and enthusiasm to the role which will involve the full spectrum of video production including management, planning, reporting, recording and editing.

 

THE CANDIDATE:  The ideal candidate for the Senior Video Editor will be a hands-on manager with the ability to get the most out of your team and to get stuck in where required.

Key Experience/ Characteristics required for the Senior Video Editor, Edinburgh
  • Experience of managing a team of multiple video producers
  • Experience working within a publishing organisation
  • Strong video storytelling skills
  • Experience of editing software ideally Adobe Premiere
  • Live editing software, wirecast or equivalent
  • Strong social media skills
  • Experience of analytics and optimising video platforms
  • A good knowledge of media law
