Our Client

Our client manufactures Weigh Price Labelling and associated systems which are mainly used in the Food industry. The majority of this manufacture is done at their plant in the UK. These machines are controlled by a diverse range of systems, from Windows 10 Embedded PCs to small microcontrollers.

Job Role

Our client is seeking a software engineer to join their development team. The primary development is in Delphi, some of their peripheral systems are coded in C, C++, C#, Pascal or Assembler. They also have Web based management systems which use ASP.NET and other web technologies but these will not initially be part of the new engineer's responsibilities.
The company are looking for someone with an interest in embedded or real time systems through the whole development and support life cycle. The successful candidate will be required to think on their feet and will be keen to learn and work with the company's systems as there is no formal training scheme or similar.
As well as the development of new systems, you will also be required to do some support, both of existing and new machine software and of the Company IT systems. They sell their machines worldwide thus you will need to be willing to travel for installations and troubleshooting, although this is not frequent. A driving licence is useful as customers are rarely near public transport hubs.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential: C, C#, C++, Delphi
Desirable: Pascal, Assembler, ASP.Net
