Visualise Scotland, an Edinburgh and East Lothian based organisation, is seeking a part time Finance Officer to support 2 additional Team Leaders to lead the provision of our high quality support services for people with profound disabilities.

Due to service expansion, we are recruiting 2 Team Leader posts across our Housing Support, Care at Home and Day Services. In exchange for your motivation, commitment and care, we pay £22,257 per annum and provide excellent training and development opportunities.

We are seeking people with inclusive and caring values to manage teams to support amazing yet vulnerable people.

Reporting to the Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that support workers are effectively guided and supported to ensure that people who use our services are provided with the highest quality of care. You will manage a minimum of 2 services and line manage up to 20 support workers.

You will be responsible for ensuring that policies, procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements are followed and that health and safety standards are maintained. Working with others in the management team, you will ensure that staff are trained, supported and developed, and that adequate staffing levels are maintained across all services. You will be required to take part in the on-call system as per the rota. You will also be required to maintain appropriate records and comply with internal and external monitoring. You will be required to register with SSSC.

Specific Details:
Job title: Team Leader (2 posts)
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £22,275 per annum
Annual Leave: 30 days including public holidays (pro-rata for part time)

Skills and Experience Required:

Demonstrable record of good working practice with people with complex needs having a positive impact on their lives and meeting their needs
Understanding of the processes and requirements of managing, motivating and developing staff
Ability to work own initiative and without constant supervision
Good organisational and prioritisation skills and methods of working
Positive approach to problem solving
Good interpersonal skills
Flexible and adaptable approach
Ability to produce clear, concise written reports
Ability to share knowledge and ideas
Ability to understand, respect and follow procedures
Understanding of equal opportunities issues
Awareness of the impact of disability on a person’s life
Ability to work positively with other family members
Good IT skills
Willingness to work towards an SVQ 4 in Health & Social Care or SVQ3 in Health & Social Care plus an additional management/supervisory qualification at SCQF 7 or above min 15 credits
