Job Description

THE ROLE

My client now seeks TRANSPORT PLANNERS at all levels to join their NOTTINGHAM office.

You should have a year or more experience of transport planning having worked in either the public or private sectors.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a successful firm of consulting engineers.

Our client is working on a wide range of transport planning issues.

They have a number of UK offices.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to have gained at least one year or more experience or more as a Transport Planner.

Your experience will have been gained with either the public or private sector.

You should have a working knowledge of using TRICS, TEMPRO, ARCADY and PICADY.

You should be an enthusiastic candidate keen to make a name for yourself and to gain responsibility.

You are likely to have a Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Transport Planning or you may have done a Degree in another subject e.g. Geography and have done a subsequent MSc in Transport Planning.

You should have knowledge of current policy and standards regarding all transport planning matters.

You will need to have knowledge of highway engineering areas suce as visibility splays, parking standards etc. and you should have gained some experience of working closely with local highway authorities.

Experience of local roads for private developments would also be preferred.

Salary is negotiable according to your experience. My client also pays overtime, plus pension and offers flexitime.
