JOB TITLE: Visiting support officer (TV Licence) no experience required
SALARY & BENEFITS: £20,000 OTE Salary 16k + 45p per mile expenses - 23 days holiday, pension, share save scheme, staff discounts i.e. childcare vouchers, dental plan, discounted insurance and share ownership plan.
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 per week, these are flexible however at least 20 hours per week must be worked from 4pm – 9pm weekdays or at the weekend

THE ROLE: Visiting support officer (TV Licence)- Home Based – Edinburgh area
As a visiting support officer for TV licensing your role will be to visit selected residential addresses with an enforcement officer to maintain an effective deterrent against evasion of the licence fee.
You will assist and enforce legislation by witnessing the enforcement officer taking statements under caution where appropriate and maximise sales revenue for the BBC.
You must be able to complete paperwork legibly and have a desire to hit set targets, along with an ability to deal with some difficult customers with a firm but fair approach.
Hours are 37.5 per week and these are flexible, so you can take ownership of the hours that you work and fit them round other commitments. We do ask you to work 20 hours per week between 4pm – 9pm weekdays or anytime at the weekend. This is so that you are visiting during the times that most people are at home.
You must have a car that you can use for work and your mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile.

The successful candidate for the Visiting support officer role must be self-motivated and the ability to communicate with people on all levels, remain calm in situations involving confrontation.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred - Visiting support officer (TV Licence)- Home Based – Edinburgh area
- Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle (Essential)
- Commitment to work during 'prime-time' hours (Essential)
- Your agreement to undertake a CRB check (Essential)
- Experience in a customer services/ customer facing environment would be beneficial, particularly in an outdoor, security or field based role
