LOCATION: Crawley 

JOB TITLE: Yard Operative 

SALARY & BENEFITS: Dependent on experience + Bonus

WORKING HOURS: 55 hours a week 

THE COMPANY: Our client is one of the most successful suppliers of primary and recycled materials to the construction industry in the South East,handling over three million tonnes of construction material each year, as well as providing services to the construction, demolition and water treatment industries. The business operates 16 sites across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London, Hampshire and Dorset and are now looking for a Yard Operative to join their Crawley Depot. 

THE ROLE: As a Yard Operative you will based in the Crawley depot working within the recycling plant with the opportunity to be trained in the operation of mobile plant to load trucks , move and reposition aggregates within bays and around the depot. 

Training provided for the right candidate. 

Working hours are 7.00am – 5.00pm – Monday – Friday / 7am – 12.00pm Saturdays. Night work is required on a rota basis. 

There may also be opportunity to work overtime.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Yard Operative role will be reliable and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience of driving wheeled loading shovels or excavators would be beneficial however there may be the opportunity to be trained on operating mobile plant. 

Key experience essential for the Yard Operative role:

Available to work 55 hours per week
Available to work Saturdays 
Previous experience in a similar role not required as full training can be provided.
